LocalWork.com targets businesses and those seeking work with affordable listings
PHOENIX, AZ – Feb. 6, 2012 – While unemployment rates continue to be at an all-time high, America is not getting back to work fast enough. Arizona leads the country in unemployment numbers and a lack of aggressive job creation initiatives has left rural areas of the state with staggering unemployment numbers. Coupled with the lack of competitive access to local talent, the community is poised for snail-paced growth.
Many existing online recruitment and employment sites leave a void in response to employer and job seeker demand for an affordable, quality employment site. It’s because of that void, that www.LocalWork.com was created.
The company is the brainchild of Ryan Naylor. As the CEO and owner of Local Work Marketing, an internet marketing firm which is also based and grown in Phoenix, AZ, he has extensive experience with local businesses. The awareness of the needs of local businesses was the starting point and foundation for the concept. The ultimate goal: putting Arizona back to work first and then branching out to communities where unemployment rates are the highest.
The U.S. Bureau of Labor and Statistics reported in the start of 2012 that while unemployment rates were slightly lower in November than a year earlier, in 351 of the 372 metropolitan areas, eight areas recorded jobless rates of at least 15.0 percent. The national unemployment rate in November was 8.2 percent, not seasonally adjusted, down from 9.3 percent a year earlier.
“As a country we are struggling with getting America back to work, yet as a community we have not figured out a formula for getting neighbors back to work quickly enough. We need to hire local talent so we keep dollars in our state,” stated Ryan Naylor, President & C.E.O of LocalWork.com. “Local jobs are our focus, lower unemployment is our goal.”
“I understand the frustrations a job seeker faces because as a young entrepreneur, I struggled to find local quality talent to build and sustain a business without breaking my startup budget. Other employment sites are frustrating for the employer because they are too expensive. On the other hand you have free classified websites, which have no useful tools to guide the job candidate in applying for the right position.”
Naylor goes on to state, “Our mission at LocalWork.com is to provide advice and support to stimulate Arizona’s economy by making connections between local employers and local talent. The key is doing this in an affordable manner.”
He has big plans for LocalWork.com, including taking their basic philosophy and applying it to each grief stricken region in the country. He says, “Let’s cut the bureaucracy and put local residents, our neighbors and friends, back to work.”
